Dear colleagues,
Over 10,000 people have lost their lives by a powerful cyclone that struck western Myanmar on Saturday, 3 May. Hundreds of thousands lack electricity, shelter and clean drinking water. Over two million people may be affected by the cyclone and children are the most vulnerable and at risk. Please read the World Vision article for more details and how our organisation is responding to this emergency.
Please pray:
* for a quick and effective relief response and that those affected receive food, clean drinking water, shelter and access to medical care.
* that God guides the leaders of the relief effort and that coordination between the government, NGOs and other agencies is smooth.
* for the safety of relief workers and their families.
* that God has mercy on this nation and that His Holy Spirit brings comfort, hope and support amidst the devastation.
